March 12 – The Grand Palace

day 3: today we went to discuss with our country’s agent to get our train tickets and telling us the location of the train station. Last night we had difficulty of finding the train station since it wasn’t on the budget sheet. We later chose one of the R&R activities then went to The Grand Palace around 1:00 pm. The road was closed off for a year since the old king recently died. We went on taxis with a discount of $200 to$180 to get to the hualanphong station. Right now in the over night train cart with air conditioning. I am so glad there is air conditioning since Thailand is humid and hot. Tomorrow we will go to Changmai in the morning to meet the elephants.
