We have just under two weeks to go before we jet off to Costa Rica to work with LAST to help protect endangered sea turtles. I want to thank all of you for your diligence in getting in the travel forms, code of conduct forms, getting the appropriate vaccinations and making sure everyone has what they need. I do have two more headlamps, with the red light for night time if anyone still needs one. They cost $30 and are of high quality from MEC. Let me know.
The students are participating in two final fundraisers before we go, selling Krispy Kreme donuts this week and a bake sale in conjunction with Matthew’s House next week. Please remember to send your child in with homemade treats on Monday, March 6th.
The weather forecast predictions for our local in Costa Rica is currently calling for rain and thundershowers for the first couple of days, so please make sure your child has a light rain jacket packed for the trip. Hopefully that changes and we see some sun sooner rather than later.
All students have received their trip t-shirts and I’m quite happy with how they turned out. I have attached a picture of one below. Thanks again for all your help in keeping your children organized. 11 days and counting!
